Padada, Davao del Sur – Rotary is giving love to our senior citizens this Sunday on Valentines. The Rotary Clubs of del Mar, CA and South Digos, in partnership with Recuerdos de Padada and other socio-civic organizations in the town are teaming up to show love to the elderly. Victor Svistoonoff, a board member of the Rotary Club of del Mar, based in California took the time and effort to deliver the proceeds of their fund-raising abroad. The US-based Rotarian is providing forty (40) walking canes and twenty (20) wheelchairs. The items stand to benefit the senior citizens association of Padada. The donation will be formally turned-over in a ceremony tomorrow at the SC Green Knights Hall in the municipality.
The event was suggested by Zaldy Garrote, the tourism officer of Padada to Mr. Svistonoff as the Fil-Am traces his paternal ancestry to Padada’s first treasurer.
